The Role of Our Board Members

Our governing board is very involved in the daily mission of Valley Health Team. They have a legal and fiduciary responsibility to provide policy level leadership. Their legal responsibility is to ensure that the center is operating in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. They also have a fiduciary responsibility—safeguarding our finances—to ensure that Valley Health Team is financially viable and stable.

Our governing board must meet at least monthly and keeps minutes of board actions. The board provides leadership and guidance to support our mission, measures and evaluates our performance in meeting our goals, reviews and approves our budget, and participates in the strategic planning process for the future of the organization.
