Fresno, CA. March 5, 2021: Valley Health Team and Clovis Unified School District, in partnership with Fresno County  Department of Public Health and California Health Sciences University will administer 800 COVID-19 vaccines to educators in Clovis, CA. on Saturday, March 6, 2021.

This past Monday, policymakers in Fresno County opened up COVID-19 vaccination priority to include people who work in food and agriculture, education, and childcare.

“Educators play a critical role in our community, and working with our partners to ensure that they are vaccinated allows  them to continue their mission of providing the resources for all students to reach their potential in mind, body and spirit,” said Soyla A. Reyna-Griffin, Chief Executive Officer of Valley Health Team. “These brave men and women ensure the  promise of a better future for the youth in our community and beyond. Valley Health Team praises the leadership of  Superintendent Eimear O’Farrell, Ed.D., and the efforts of all staff at Clovis Unified, along with our partners for making this event possible.”

Valley Health Team and its partners will return to the site on March 27, 2021, to administer the second dose of vaccines.
